Satisfaction for the Hungry Soul
Satisfaction for the Hungry Soul
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. Psalm 107:8-9
Have you ever pushed yourself away from the table at Thanksgiving and said, “I never want another bite to eat as long as I live”? At that moment, you are genuinely sincere. You really don’t want another bite of food. But come evening, there you are back in the kitchen, putting whipped cream on a slice of pumpkin pie. That’s because the body demands constant feeding.
**The Flesh can never be satisfied.
No matter how much you feed your flesh, it will always want more. In fact, if you give in to an area of the flesh, rather than being satisfied, it demands more and more until it eventually brings you into bondage.
Just as men have physical hunger and thirst, they also have spiritual hunger and thirst. The problem comes when you try to satisfy a spiritual need with a fleshly experience. It just doesn’t work.
Are you hungry for more of God? Thirsty for peace or righteousness? In John 6:35, Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”
Jesus is the answer to all your longings.
Father, we thank You that through Your Son, our hunger and our thirst have been satisfied. For those still trying to fill their spiritual need with physical experience, we ask that Your Holy spirit draw them back to Jesus. In His name we pray, amen

One of His primary purposes for marriage was offspring who would fill the earth with God’s praise and…

Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent has not changed. —Jeremiah 48: 11 Moab— situated as they were in wine country— would…

What God Thinks of You For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. —Jeremiah 29: 11 Sometimes, when we have failed in our Christian walk by disobeying God or yielding to fleshly impulses, we become…
