Jesus is Coming Again
Jesus Is Coming Again
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. —Revelation 1: 7
“Behold, He is coming,” John said. Although many verses in Scripture foretell the rapture of the church—that event that will happen in a twinkling of an eye—this prophecy is not speaking of the rapture. This prophecy foretells the second coming of Jesus Christ. Those two events—the rapture and the second coming—are separate, distinct events. One must not be confused with the other.
The rapture is for the church. It is that time when Jesus will come to gather His bride unto Himself. No one knows when that will happen; all we know is that every sign Jesus gave to prepare us for that event has already occurred.
**All the signs have been fulfilled, which means that the rapture could happen at any moment. It could be this very day.
Some seven years after the rapture, Jesus will return with His church to judge the earth and to establish God’s kingdom. This is the second coming of Jesus. It will follow a time of great tribulation such as the world has never seen—a time of terror and devastation. You don’t want to be here when God’s judgment falls. The beautiful thing is that you don’t have to be here. Jesus is coming first to receive His church unto Himself. If the rapture should happen this day—and it very well could—are you ready?
Lord, we want to be ready when You come. Help us that we might take advantage of every opportunity to grow close to You. Keep us looking up, watching for You.
