WISDOM FOR TODAY
It’s all Grace, bro!
Conscious of Grace
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more… —Romans 5: 20
At times when I have failed miserably, I have thought, “When will I ever learn? I have blown it again.” But it is often in that place of misery and self-condemnation that God chooses to do something outstandingly glorious for me. Conscious of His merciful grace, I can’t help but respond with, “Oh Lord, I love You!”
**True praise rises spontaneously from the heart, recognizing God’s goodness and grace.
Take in the amazing fact that God loves you and has provided forgiveness for your sins. Meditate again on the truth that salvation comes not through your own goodness, your own ability to keep the law, or by earning the favor of God, but by simply believing on His Son, who came to take your guilt and bring you into the family of God.
Because of the obedient sacrifice of Jesus, you can have victory over your flesh. Because of Jesus, you need not fear death. You’ve been freed from the bondage of sin. You have been redeemed. You have the Holy Spirit—a Protector, a Guide, a Teacher, a Comforter. You have the body of Christ. You have a Father. You have His mercy and forgiveness. You have the promise of an eternal home. And it is all because of His grace.
In light of all that, what is your response today? Don’t you feel like praising Him?
Father, we are amazed at Your forgiveness, love, mercy, and grace. We thank You that even when we fail miserably, You are there to pick us up, wash us, and help us start again. We love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Ahh GRACE…our most abundant resource from the Father. We have oceans of grace we can utilize especially for others! Who do you need to extend grace to today? My ole pastor Viv used to say, “It’s all grace, bro!”
