Inspired by God
November 10 Inspired by God
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness… —2 Timothy 3: 16
The Bible tells of the eternal God who created the universe, the God who exists outside of time and space. It tells us that this God, who created all things, loves man and desires to live in fellowship with him, that man might receive the blessings of knowing Him. The Scriptures are God’s Word to man.
**Because the Bible is inspired by God, it is infallible and inerrant.
Through prophecies, God proves that He is outside of time. Only He knows the end from the beginning. Only He can foretell a thing before it comes to pass. By prophesying things that are yet future, He proves that He is indeed the Author of this Book, which is about eighty-percent prophecy.
When Jesus was talking to His disciples about His death and resurrection, He said, “I am going away and coming back to you. I am going to the Father. And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe” (John 14: 28-29). He told them in advance of the things to come so that they could see that He is indeed who He claimed to be—the Son of God.
God has given us His Word so that we understand His nature, His plan of redemption, and the path to spiritual growth. The truths it contains will build our faith. May we study it daily, being doers of the Word and not hearers only.
Thank You, Father, for Your Word, a light unto our path which guides us in Your truth. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

One of His primary purposes for marriage was offspring who would fill the earth with God’s praise and…
