WISDOM FOR TODAY
God’s Victory
God’s Victory
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.—2 Chronicles 20: 17
The three nations to the east joined forces and sent their army to destroy Judah. Jehoshaphat knows that Judah is no match for these combined forces. Humanly speaking, they are as good as gone.
Sooner or later, we all encounter situations that are beyond our own abilities. The Bible tells us that as Christians, we have three formidable foes: the forces of the world, the flesh, and the devil. Any one of them constitutes a real problem for us, but combined, there is no human way that we can know victory.
**When we stand still and let God work, He gets all the glory for winning the battle.
When those monumental problems appear, we often wish God would give us a formula that would take care of the problem. But if we had a formula, then we would want to market it. Then we’d go around bragging about how well we did.
God has so many interesting ways to work out our problems. How important it is when we are faced with those dilemmas that we remember to reach out to Him. We need to pray to the true and living God, the Creator of heaven and earth. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.
The battle, after all, is His.
Father, help us today to recognize and confess our limitations, in order that we might rely upon You. We rejoice, Lord, in Your promise of help. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PS Today is our biggest event of the year. See TampaBayPrayer.com Please pray for the harvest and that whatever battles ensue will be His! Come Lord Jesus! -DS

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. —Romans 12: 1 In writing to the church at Corinth, Paul made a point to tell them to be careful about what they do with their bodies. “Do…
