God’s Secrets
GOD’S SECRETS
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. —Deuteronomy 29:29
Two realms exist— those secret things that belong to God, and those things that He has chosen to reveal to us.
Science has made many discoveries, but there are still vast mysteries and secrets of the universe that we haven’t yet tapped. God knows them all. And as He chooses to reveal them to us, we continue to learn. The same is true in our personal lives.
WE DON’T ALWAYS KNOW WHY CERTAIN THINGS HAPPEN TO US, BUT GOD KNOWS.
We want answers. We want to know why. But sometimes God’s response is simply, “Trust Me.”
Just as God has established laws that govern our physical universe, such as the laws of electricity, aerodynamics, and gravity, He has also established spiritual laws. And just as the discovery of those physical laws benefited our lives, God’s spiritual laws— the secret of His love, His faithfulness, His grace and mercy— can be used to benefit and bless us as well.
You won’t always understand what God is doing. But He is faithful. He will reveal His secrets as you wait upon Him. And one day you will thank Him for the trial you are enduring now, because the secrets of God were revealed through it.
Father, we’re so grateful for the revelation of Your love and Your law. Help us to keep Your law and use it for our benefit, for the enrichment and the enhancement of our lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PS My little boy (Shepherd) when asked if he understood what “faith” is -answered me, “Isn’t that when you trust God, DaDa?” It surely is son…I would ask you now, what is it you need to trust God with right now Saint and show a little faith that He will intercede?
