God’s Everlasting Arms

 GOD’S EVERLASTING ARMS
The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms… —Deuteronomy 33:27
Because the future is unknown and unsure, man has a tendency to fear it. But this short verse contains three facts that have the power to cure that fear:
(1) God is eternal. Before you arrive at a situation or an experience, God has already preceded you there.
(2) God is your refuge. A refuge is a shelter, a secure place where you can be safe from the storm. And oh, how safe are those who have made their shelter in God. The Scriptures tell us that the name Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe (Proverbs 18: 10).
(3) Underneath are the everlasting arms. That means that I cannot fall. Though I may think I am going to fall, the truth is that God is holding me up.
*NO MATTER WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS, GOD IS READY TO HOLD AND PROTECT US. (Do you believe, by faith, this is true?)
Someone might say, “Hey, I really hit bottom this week.” That is fantastic. That means you are resting now directly on God, because when you get to the bottom, underneath you are His everlasting arms.
We have no need to fear. The eternal God has gone before us and knows all things that are ahead. He is our dwelling place, our place of safety and security. His arms are ever beneath us, holding us firmly.
Thank You, Father, that You’re always there when we need You, and that Your everlasting arms are always beneath us. Hold us tight today. For those who are fearful, give them the faith to believe that You will not let them fall. In Jesus’ name, amen.
